Love your park is a funded programme as part of Ealing’s Pride in my Park initiative.
The programme rewards residents of Ealing for getting out and about and being pro-active in a variety of the borough’s superb green spaces. From voluntarily litter-picking, to gardening, through to joining a Friends Of Park group, Ealing residents can earn some fantastic rewards as a result with BetterPoints’ free mobile app.
There are many incentives to get started, as well as incentives for being more regularly involved, by doing something good in Ealing. All that’s required is a smartphone with GPS, so that activity is recorded via the app.
Participants can exchange BetterPoints to reward themselves with vouchers for a whole host of high street retailers, or donate them to a variety of charities, both local and national.
Councillor Mik Sabiers, cabinet member for environment and highways said: “Getting involved with a local park, meeting up and getting to know neighbours, enjoying the activity and exercise in fresh air, and getting rewards for you or for a charity of your choice is simply a win win for everyone.”
More information, and a list of green spaces that are part of the programme, can be found online at www.loveyourpark.betterpoints.uk. The app is available on both Google Play and Apple Store.
