It’s now even easier to make a difference in your local neighbourhood thanks to Do Something Good – the revamped website for residents wanting to get involved with community projects and initiatives.
Do Something Good has taken over from the old website Bubble and it’s where you can find all manner of goings on in your local neighbourhood.
The revamped site hosts information on the many ways that people are getting involved and helping their local area, even if they do not have time to make a regular commitment. Whether you want to start your own project, or get involved in an existing one, there are toolkits and new opportunities constantly being added by people like you.
If you are running an activity and need some local support go to Do Something Good, post your project and let people know about what you are doing.
There are a whole range of funding opportunities all in one place in the Ealing 4 Fundraising portal with details of application criteria, deadlines and where you can get more information.
There is such a wide variety of options. You could do anything from helping monitor wildlife in a local park, to becoming a school governor or helping out at your nearest library.
If your passion is helping people you can simply sign up to help elderly neighbours living near you who just need some extra help from time to time – a cup of tea, a cooked meal or help with fixing something.
Do Something Good also includes details of the council’s Transform Your Space scheme, where groups of residents can team-up together to request a slice of council funding to help realise their plans for community projects. Go to dosomethinggood.org.uk to take a look at and see what you could get involved with.
