Welcome to the July-August edition of Around Ealing. We hope you found the coronavirus special mini editions useful during the lockdown. Now, we decided the time is right to try to return to something more resembling normal service.
You can view interactive and PDF versions of the magazine below.
The virus is still with us, of course, and affecting life in almost every way and it has been a strange and worrying time for everyone. I want to offer my sincerest condolences from everyone here to
anyone who has suffered a loss.
In this July-August edition, we speak to some local businesses to find out how they have found a way to survive (and even thrive) during lockdown and the coronavirus crisis. We also turn to the wider crisis facing our planet – the climate – and what action the council is taking and will be encouraging others to take (which will be a continuing series). We also look at travel around the borough in these days of social distancing – and how we can go about it in a way that helps the environment, and improves the quality of the air we breathe, too.
There is lots else in July-August, including news on Hanwell Zoo reopening – and what new furry friends you can meet there.
We will continue to keep you informed, in Around Ealing and also on this website ealingnewsextra.co.uk and, indeed, social media (Twitter and Facebook) regularly. But can I also recommend that you consider signing up to our regular email updates via the council’s My Account service (sign up at www.ealing.gov.uk/myaccount and, then, go to the ‘My Account Information’ page in your account and select ‘yes’ to receiving emails and updates about council services).
