Welcome to the February – March 2019 edition of Around Ealing magazine. Working together is the resounding phrase in this issue.
There are so many examples of people volunteering, getting involved in the community, forging partnerships and getting things done. It is inspiring. Our cover story looks at the transformative work the
Friends of Horsenden Hill have carried out on that green corner of the borough (p16); and there are other examples dotted throughout this edition – including the teamwork involved to install a new fountain in a park (p30).
The most striking example of all, perhaps, though is the work of Ealing Foodbank, which has centres run by volunteers across the borough. We visited its hub of activity in Hanwell, as you can read on p10-11. A longer version of the article is available on this website too. Meanwhile, see page seven for details of the latest Transform Your Space scheme.
We also catch up on the latest initiatives to combat crime, with the council and police working together.
On top of all this, you can read news of a colourful project in West Ealing, take advantage of a netball offer for readers and see a lot more besides.
