Walpole Park will be fitted with a big screen for the crunch semi-final football game between England and Croatia.
England face Croatia at 7pm on Wednesday 11 July in their first semi-final since 1990. To celebrate this achievement Ealing Council has arranged for the game to be played on a large screen at Walpole Park.
Councillor Jullian Bell, leader of Ealing council said: “Football’s coming home to Ealing. We’re laying on a big screen in Walpole Park for England’s World Cup semi-final against Croatia this Wednesday.
“This is a brilliant opportunity for everybody to come along a support the England team, we are looking forward to them going on to the final and end 52 years of hurt.”
The viewing area will not be ticketed, but there will only be space for around 1,500 people, so residents are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
