Votes are in…here is your spring photo winner

8.An awaking, stretching fox in an Acton garden, by Sheryl Hall

This image of a waking, stretching fox in an Acton garden was voted by residents as their winner of our spring Seasons of Ealing photo competition. It was a runaway winner but two superb runners-up also scored plenty of votes.

The picture of the fox (above), taken by Sheryl Hall, secured an incredible 50% of votes cast in our public poll on our EalingLondon Facebook page. It was one of nine photos shortlisted by our panel – you can view all nine in our gallery.

Second place was taken by Caroline Page with her great photo of blue sky, blossom and a melting ice cream in Ealing.

In third place was a stunning photo of an avenue of trees in Walpole Park in Ealing after heavy rain, by Pino Agnello.

The idea was for people to enter their own snaps taken in the borough of anything of a spring-like flavour, taken

during the spring months. We had so many images sent in – thank you to everyone who entered.

We selected that shortlist of nine and then asked you to pick your favourite and vote in our public poll on the Ealing London Facebook page.

The poll closed last night (Thursday, 10 May). The winning photo and runner-up will be included in the June edition of Around Ealing magazine.
