Councillor Mik Sabiers, cabinet member for environment and highways said: “Ealing has a fantastic record on recycling and with further improved rates seen this year, we are on our way to reaching our target of 60% by 2022.
“We remain the second best performing borough in London and I am grateful for the continued work of residents in their efforts to help us achieve so much.
“Residents’ usual rubbish and recycling collections will change over the Christmas and New Year period so please take a moment to check the revised dates to ensure your household waste is collected over Christmas.”
Refuse and recycling collections will change from Christmas Day and return to normal service on Monday, 14 January. Visit the council’s website for further information.
Rubbish and recycling should be left at the front boundary of the property, not on the pavement, by 7am on the collection day.
