GLA AND MAYORAL ELECTIONS NOTE: The date on page 7 of this magazine, relating to registering to vote should read 18 April 2016 (it is incorrectly stated as being 19 April, which is in fact the deadline for registering for postal votes).

Whether by car, bus, or on foot, the editor always get around the borough a fair bit in the course of producing every magazine and we have a wide variety of stories in this spring 2016 edition. From news on the changes to the borough’s rubbish and recycling collections, to interviews with carers; and from the tale of how a man is being aided in his recovery after a bad fall, to the exciting future of two of our historical gems; and also from improvements to transport access, to a look at a ‘hidden’ nature reserve in Greenford. There is plenty else, besides – including information on the council’s decision to freeze council tax rates again for the coming year.
